Over 120 pieces, the most comprehensive showing of archives is on display through September 24th 2011.
The vintage photographs on display, which capture folk and roots performers and behind-the scenes moments, will hang through September 24th at The Narrows Center for the Arts Gallery. The show, curated by Shannon Flattery, Artistic Director of the Folk Music Archives, highlights the work of photographers like Bob Morey who lived the folk revival of the 1960s and Dick Waterman, whose images still startle with their intimacy. The newly acquired Old Vienna Kaffeehaus collection featuring the work of Chris Yeager is shown for the first time. Photographs by acclaimed stage photographers Neale Eckstein, Walter Petrule, and Melissa Bugg will also be on view.
