Denise Jarvinen is the Executive Director and Clerk of the Traditional Music Foundation which was founded in 2007 to support the preservation of traditional music and music education in various forms. The TMF provides opportunities for the general public to explore and experience a range of traditional American music, as well as contemporary musical styles with strong traditional roots. Denise also serves on the Board of Directors of the Boston Bluegrass Union; and is a Trustee at the International Bluegrass Music Museum. For FOLK New England, Denise directs and produces grant applications and serves as facilitator for FNE’s most successful community outreach program ‘Stories Through Song.’
